Crown Club Fundraiser Event Recap and Impact - April 2025
We had the best time at Junior Auxiliary of Meridian, MS - Crown Club’s Breakfast with the Bunnies at Explorer Acres in Collinsville! From egg hunts and face painting to horse rides and bunny cuddles, there was something for everyone to enjoy. The weather was beautiful — we couldn’t have asked for a better day! A heartfelt thank you to Explorer Acres for hosting us, Dairy Queen for providing breakfast, Miss Hospitality Rylee Hailey for joining us, all of the amazing businesses who sponsored tables, our supportive community, our dedicated members, and the wonderful Crown Club chair Elizabeth Bennett and her hardworking committee. We’re thrilled to share that a portion of the proceeds will be presented to Hope Village for Children in the coming days — what a meaningful way to celebrate this season of giving! One guest shared, “The whole event was amazing! The girls were interacting so well with all the kids. We loved the animals, crafts, jumpy house, and the special autograph from Miss Hospitality. Wonderful event!” It was a joyful morning filled with laughter, sunshine, and community — we’re already looking forward to next year!

Standing Crown Club Project:
Hearts For The Arts

The Junior Auxiliary of Meridian's Hearts For The Arts project began as the 2021 Provisional Class Project. This initiative aimed to expand, support, and enhance opportunities for youth arts education in our area. The project began with an arts supply drive, benefiting the classroom needs of local educators. Hearts For The Arts was also successful in exposing children across our community to the numerous local arts education programs during our World Art Day Children's Festival. This free festival provided youth the opportunity to gain exposure to a variety of art forms through hands-on activities. We recognize the integral importance of arts education to child development, and hope to continue these efforts to support arts exposure for children in our community through our Crown Club members.

The culminating piece of this initiative was the creation of the Junior Auxiliary of Meridian's Hearts For The Arts Trail. With the help of local donors, and the talent of local artists, our Chapter is so proud to present this permanent public art instillation featuring the original works of children from the Lauderdale County and Meridian areas.

Be sure to check out these amazing art pieces next time you are in the Downtown Meridian area!
