2024 Breakfast with the Bunnies

​Each year, the JA of Meridian Crown Club hosts a fun event to raise money for their service project! These events also provide an opportunity for our Crown Club to learn the basics of charitable event planning & engage with the community. While our active members are directly involved in all Crown Club activities providing mentorship & guidance, we also aim to allow some autonomy. We encourage Crown Club members to engage in the process of conceptualizing, creating, & implementing plans to meet community needs.  By providing a safe learning environment for these future community leaders, we offer the unique opportunity to dip their toes into the world of community service! With the help of JA active member mentors, these young ladies work hard to learn the ropes of community service, including raising funds for their projects.

​This year's fundraiser, Breakfast with the Bunnies was held at Explorer Acres in Collinsville, MS. This event included breakfast, Easter crafts, animal experiences, and family fun! Breakfast with the Bunnies raised over $3,000 to pour into service benefiting children in our community. All children were also able to take home a free book as part of our RIF (Reading is Fundamental) Project.
