2024-2025 Provisional Class Project - Ditch the Screen: Ignite Your Dreams!
The 2025 Provisional Class is proud to present their project, Ditch the Screen: Ignite Your Dreams! This project focuses on celebrating the importance of prioritizing quality time with our loved ones by putting aside the devices that have become ubiquitous in our daily lives and learning new hobbies!
Seventh graders got their hands dirty, picked up paddles, and unleashed their creativity at the “Ditch the Screen: Ignite Your Dreams” hobby fair hosted by the Provisional Class of Junior Auxiliary of Meridian, MS, in January
From testing their green thumbs in the garden to discovering the fast-paced fun of pickleball and expressing themselves through art, students had the chance to explore new hobbies that inspire curiosity, creativity, and real-world connections—without screens!
As part of this initiative, JA of Meridian proudly donated two fully moveable pickleball courts to Magnolia Middle School, complete with nets, 16 paddles, and 48 balls—ensuring students can continue playing and staying active for years to come!
A huge thank you to Meridian Public School District, Magnolia Middle School, our incredible community, and our generous sponsors and donors for making this event possible! Your support helps us create meaningful experiences that empower and inspire students.

2022-2023 Provisional Class Project - beYOUty Shop Each year, our Provisional Class creates a service project based on a community need. The 2023 Provisional Class created the beYOUty Shop project, a self-esteem building workshop taught local middle school students about hair care. This project aimed to help 6th grade students build self-esteem and confidence while teaching important self-care skills. On April 4th, 2023 The beYOUty Shop was held at Northeast Middle School! Students were taught about hair care, and provided with essential products to take home. We extend our sincere appreciation to local businesses who helped us bring this project to life - Sports Clips, Carter's Cuts and Customs, Pampered Bodies, Press'd Salon, DJ Antonio Naylor, and more! |
